Welcome to all those Montgomery County residents who have recently been upset by the the County Council's disregard for the wishes of its citizen taxpayers and approved a budget increase that taxes the imagination by its scope. By providing huge wage increases to its 32,000 union workforce the the budget busting increase has directed us in the direction of bankruptcy in a few years. We have created a new website for all of those who are with us in attempting find a way to change or improve the tax situation in this community. By joining us we can use the force of numbers to show the council that we mean business when it comes to limiting tax obligations of its citizens even it this leads to ousting the present council. Montgomery County has just released a press release to announce their approved '09 budget of 4.3 billion dollars. This release indicates how generous and considerate it is of the citizens financial sacrifice while actually compiling in total one of the largest tax increases in the counties history. Notice that no mention is made of approving without moderation the total union demands for raises of from 8 to 10 percent per year over the next three years. With actuarial compounding over the years these increases, some feel, will lead to the loss of solvency of the county. Read the budget details at this link and see what you think:
